Gringo was born in 1984 from a love of travel, colour and individuality. After years exploring the world, our founders Deb and Dave set out to build something rooted in freedom, individuality and a spirit of adventure.

What began with silver jewellery sourced during travels through Mexico and sold along the Australian coast gradually evolved into the distinctive UK bohemian lifestyle brand Gringo is today.

As demand grew, so did our vision. Jewellery expanded into thoughtfully designed clothing and accessories — vibrant, wearable pieces shaped by culture, colour and enduring quality.

In 1991, Deb and Dave returned to the UK, bringing their love of sunshine, colour and relaxed living with them. From there, Gringo continued to grow, developing in-house collections while building long-term partnerships with skilled makers across Nepal, India, Thailand and Bali.

Today, Gringo remains proudly independent — a family-run business guided by the values it was built on. We continue to travel, collaborate closely with our makers and design collections shaped by freedom, adventure and quality.

Ethical production isn’t a trend for us — it’s simply how we’ve worked since 1984.
